Tip of the day: How to freshen up second day hair/dirty hair.

We all know that washing or shampooing our mane everyday is not good because it can be drying and damaging to the hair. But, what do we do with our second or third day hair if we don’t want to wash it everyday? Girls with short hair could probably get away with not washing their hair every other day but for the long-haired girls, it is pretty tiring washing that long mane and it takes up quite a bit of time in the shower. I know my hands gets tired after awhile. Some girls with long hair usually goes 3 or 4 days without washing their hair and how do they keep their hair clean during “no washing” hair days?

Use dry shampoo or baby powder and apply it to your roots. The dry shampoo or baby powder will absorb the excess oils on your scalp which makes your hair feel and look fresher. Dry shampoo also adds a little bit of volume to your hair so your hair won’t be flat.

You could also try the hairsheets by Ted Gibson. It’s like towelettes for your hair for quick cleaning, or you could use sulfate free baby wipes to gently refresh your hair.

  1. I love dry shampoo, it is a terrific invention for those who may have color treated hair as well. (I dye my hair often.) People who have red hair, and can’t wash it often due to it fading. People with bleached hair, who can not wash it often due to needing natural oils to build up, dry shampoo is a great product.

Though, baby powder is also a cheaper alternative, those with darker hair will hate it. It is so hard to get that white-ness from showing up in your hair.

    Great informative blog! 😉
