How’s it going? I hope your Tuesday is going well so far. This week’s Tip Tuesday, I will be sharing with you tips on how to maintain that natural summer glow that you’ve been loving for the colder seasons. Yes, you can still achieve that naturally glowing from the inside look even when you’re skin is looking dry and dehydrated. Just follow these simple steps and you’ll be on your way to looking like a glowing goddess again.
- Prep your skin.
Start of by prepping your skin with your favorite moisturizer. I would advice to go for a more thicker and hydrating moisturizer especially for the colder weather. Add a liquid illuminator to your favorite moisturizer to give your skin some glow.(Revlon PhotoReady Skin Lights Illuminator, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector)
- Apply Foundation
If you decided to add the liquid illuminator with your foundation, you could do it in this step. Just apply dime size amount of foundation to the parts of your face that you want more coverage. The trick here is not to over do it with the foundation, because it could make you look cakey. Remember, we want natural glowing skin. Blend the foundation into your skin using a foundation sponge or a beauty blender. (Tip:Using a stippling or buffing motion would help to make your foundation look more natural)
- Conceal with a highlighting concealer
Use a highlighting concealer to conceal under eyes. I would do a “v-shape” under my eyes, because I want that area to be bright and it makes me look more wide awake. I mix two concealers together. A concealer that closely matches my skin tone and a highlighting concealer where I apply it to the high points on my face which are the cheekbones, tip of the nose, chin and the middle of the forehead. (Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Sand, MAC Prep+Prime Highlighter in Light Boost)
- Set your face
After applying all your liquids, always ALWAYS set it with powder to avoid creasing, especially the under eyes. I would recommend using a translucent powder to set your face with. Now, because we are achieving the glowing skin, I only set powder on the t-zone area since it is the area where it gets oily easily. (MAC Prep+Prime Transparent Finishing Powder, Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in Translucent)
Before you finish your face makeup, apply subtle highlighter to the high points on your face (cheek bones, under the eyebrows, inner corner of the eyes, tip of the nose and cupids bow) for that natural glow. You could also set your makeup with a dewy setting spray for an even more dewy look. (Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, NYX Dewy Finish Makeup Setting Spray)
This is a perfect everyday makeup for anyone and everyone. It is quick and easy especially for moms on the go or when you are running late. This is the type of makeup I would wear everyday, not just during the fall and winter, but also throughout the year.
What I like about makeup like this is that you could pair it with any lip color and still look appropriate. I decided to pair it with a dark burgundy red lip just because it is fall. (Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Avenue)
I hope you like this week’s Tip Tuesday and find it useful. Sorry it went up really late. I was just too busy during the day that I just got some time to sit and write this post. Until next time sweethearts! Thanks for reading!XOXO ❤
