Tip Tuesday: Winterize Your Hair

Hi everyone, welcome to this week’s Tip Tuesday.

Yes, you guessed it. We are going to talk all about hair today. I always wanted to have really long, luxuriated, and thick hair. But, with the winter months upon us now, my hair is looking dull these days and very brittle which is really disconcerting since I have super thin hair. So I need all the hair that I have to stay intact and not shed anymore.

I went online and start searching on ways to maintain healthy hair during the winter time and I decided to share my findings with you lovelies today.

Here are 3 ways to maintain healthy hair, or as some would call it “winterizing” your hair this season.

Condition! Condition! Condition! Oh yes, this is particularly important to do, so as to maintain moisture in your hair. Deep conditioning helps to replenish the moisture in your hair and prevent it from getting too brittle.

You could also try adding a few drops of essential oils like lavender or rosemary oil to your conditioner and massage it to your scalp to prevent dry scalp and also promote hair growth. Do this once a week (or more if you like) for best results.  (Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque)

Dirty hair don’t care!

Keep washing your hair to a minimum. Maybe the reason you feel like your scalp is flaking a lot and it itches so much could be because you wash your hair too often. I’d say only wash your hair like three times a week max. If you don’t like the feeling of greasy hair, use a dry shampoo or baby powder on your hair. It will soaked up the excess grease and keep your hair looking fresh. And if you are worried about your hair smelling, don’t worry, there are hair perfumes available so you and your hair could smell sexy. ( Batiste Dry Shampoo, Miss Dior Hair Mist)

You’d probably did not see this coming did ya? Why a humidifier? Well, my friend, a humidifier is essential during the winter time because it helps to bring moisture back into your house, and prevent your skin and hair from drying out. I only started using a humidifier last winter and I’ve been loving it since. My skin aren’t as dry and my hair don’t seem to be as brittle, and I breathe better too. Heeh! (Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier)

There you go babes, these are just some ways to maintain healthy looking hair during the colder months. There are more ways to winterize your hair but these are my top 3 picks.

Thanks for reading and as always, XOXO<3
