Hey hey hey!
I’m happy to start my first Tip Tuesday of the year. A new year, new beauty tips and makeup tricks, oh, and not forgetting fashion tips to share with all of you.
Maybe a lot of you have heard about this on going rage about a $5 “primer” that most youtubers and beauty enthusiasts been talking about. The girls that tried this primer absolutely love it and some says that their makeup stays longer and make their skin looked flawless. No, still no clue what it is?
Thanks to Nikkie Tutorials (LOVE HER), every makeup lover (including me) probably rushed out to buy the Nivea Men Sensitive Post Shave Balm. I’ve seen youtubers like Kathleen Lights, my bestfriend all the way from Singapore Dygans 90, also a youtuber, and now, everyone’s favorite youtuber Desi Perkins and LustreLux are joining the bandwagon.
So why is this such a good primer you might asked? Well, one of the active ingredients in this after shave balm is Glycerin. Glycerin or glycerol is a thick, colorless and odorless liquid, commonly found in skincare products like moisturizers, lotions and even cosmetic products. The reason why this works so well as a makeup primer is because the product will get tacky as you rubbed it into the skin. The tackiness will allow your foundation to stick to your skin, hence your makeup last longer, and your skin will look smooth and flawless.
Some of the benefits of glycerin are:
- Glycerin helps to keep the skin soft and supple. Good for girls like me with dry skin.
- It helps to retain moisture of the skin and prevent dryness.
- It cures oily skin problems like acne, and blackheads.
- It is a good skin moisturizer.
- It has anti-aging properties and use in anti-aging treatments.
If you’re in a pinched and in need of a new primer, try this. You can easily get this at the drugstore and it’s under $10 depending where you get it. And as for scent wise, yes it smells like men. But after you put your foundation on, the scent won’t be as noticeable as compared to when you first applied it.
I hope this little tip is fun and useful for you. As always thanks for reading and have a happy Tuesday!XOXO ❤
