Natural Glam Feat. Clinique Cheek Pop

If you’ve read my January Favorites, you might remember me showing the Clinique Cheek Pop as one of my favorites of the month. Lauren from Lauren’s Lip Glossary  (go check her site, she’s awesome!) left me a comment saying that I should do a look with these bad boys. So today’s post is going to be a makeup look featuring the Clinique Cheek Pop. But before I show you my makeup look, I wanted to share a quick review on these babies.

First of all, could we just talk about how cute and fun these blushes are. It reminds me of spring whenever I look at it. Haha! This product is 0.12oz, smaller than your average size blushes. The packaging is made of hard plastic, but it feels really sturdy and well made. Secondly, there are 12 amazing colors (at $22 each) to choose from. I love it when companies come out with a wide range of colors, that way gals of all skin tone could have an option as well. The two colors I picked were Ginger Pop and Nude Pop. Ginger Pop is a peachy shade with a little bit of red undertones in it and Nude Pop is straight up nude. If you’re like my skin tone, Nude Pop won’t really show on the skin. But I kinda like that, because it gives a naturally pretty sheen to your skin and I like using it on top of other blushes too. As for pigmentation, if you’re someone who loves a good pigmented blush, you won’t be impressed the first time you try it on because it’s pretty sheer. But, the good thing about these blushes are that the colors are buildable until you get the intensity you desire. These blushes blends amazing too and works better if you apply it with a synthetic bristle blush brush like this one here.

On to the makeup look. The look that I wanted to go for with these blushes is an everyday natural glam look. Something really soft on the eyes, with lots of mascara, nude lips and of course a little healthy pinch of color to the cheeks. For this look, I wore the two blushes together. First, with Ginger Pop closer to my hair line and I added Nude Pop on the apples of the cheeks, like an ombre effect.

Since these blushes has a nice glowy sheen to it, I did not use any highlight. I kept the rest of face really simple. Just a little bit of bronzer to warm up the face and just relying on the cheek pop for that natural glow.
