I have a monthly favorites post to share today. I have a few new makeup products that I purchased during the month of February, and I’ve been loving them through out the entire month, and I know these are gonna be some of my makeup go-to from now on. Oh, I also have a pair of heels that I wanted to include in my favorites, because I feel like cobalt blue, or blue is going to be my color crush for spring. I’ll talk about it more later in this post, but for now let’s get into the fun stuff, which is makeup! =)
I don’t know what took me so long, but as soon as I got my hands on these shadows, I died! I know MUG eye shadows are most raved about shadows by every makeup lovers, beauty Youtubers, beauty bloggers and even girls who just love makeup in general. Even though it’s 6 USD per pan, it could end up being really expensive. I guess that’s why I was delaying it, until recently. I will be doing a friend’s wedding makeup this summer, and I wanted an all neutral palette. There are tons of neutral palettes in the market, but a lot of them have shades that I would not normally wear, that’s why making my own neutral palette with my own shades that I picked out seemed worth the money.
I have to agree with everyone who have tried out these shadows. They are so buttery soft, very pigmented and blends so well. My favorite shades to use are Cocoa Bear, Peach Smoothie and Creme Brulee. If I’m doing my makeup, those are the shades that I use most for an everyday look. I’m definitely gonna get more shades just so I could build up my palette. MUG also just came out with their contouring powders too, I probably would want to try those out as well. If you have not join the bandwagon, do it!
Another product that’s been on the market for quite awhile now, but I only purchased it recently. This is an amazing product. If you have large pores, this will definitely reduce and blurs the appearance of large pores. It glides on really smoothly on the skin, and it has the silicone texture like a lot of primers have, but this one does not leave a greasy feeling on your face after you apply it.
I really love my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, but I feel like it’s a little bit too thick for everyday wear. Plus, I only use it as a highlighting concealer instead of spot correcting. My Maybelline Age Rewind concealer is really good for doing the job, but I wanted to try a different concealer that has the same liquid consistency as the Maybelline one, and this was it. I got it in two shades, one that’s close to my skin tone, and another one which is lighter for highlighting under the eyes. I’ve been using this concealer on the daily, and I love it. It is so lightweight, covers up blemishes and redness really well. I would even just wear this instead of foundation and set the concealer and my whole face with powder and I’m good to go. Two thumbs up for this bad boy!
Wet & Wild came out with a new packaging for their color icon blushes, and I believe that they change their formulas too. If you have not tried any of the color icon blushes, you need too! They are so pigmented and super affordable. The one that I got was Rose Champagne, and I think that’s one of their newest color. It’s the perfect nude-ish blush, great for an everyday wear.
My favorite nude lipstick at the moment. I have a bunch of MAC lipsticks, and I should start wearing them more often. That is what happen when you own too much lipsticks, and you tend to forget about the ones you have.
I’m getting ahead of myself here, even though spring is just right around the corner. I’ve been loving the color blue lately. From cobalt blue, to baby blue, royal blue you name it. It’s such a nice, bold color to wear for spring and summer and just a hint of blue to your outfit will make your entire outfit stand out. This heels from Just Fab that I got awhile back is the perfect accessory for that pop of color to an outfit. I’ll link some similar heels so you can check them out. =)
I hope you like my February Favorites. Thanks for reading! Until next time, XOXO ❤
