Spring Pastels – By Adam King

Hi guys!

I have a very special post to share with you today. Today’s blog post is a guest post from Adam King, a Retail Merchandising student at Syracuse University  who is currently taking a digital fashion course. He has written an article about this season’s spring fashion accessories, and would love it for me to share it with my readers. =)

I love the the color scheme he picked for spring. If you’ve been with me for awhile, you know how obsessed I am with wearing blush, rosy pink tones and I have a few outfits that I styled in this color palette. Pastels are one of my favorite colors to wear during the spring time. That’s why I want to share with you his article, because this is right up my alley, and I feel like we have a similar taste in style. The pieces he chose are very timeless, classic pieces and are basic staples that could be worn all year round.

Enjoy the article!

Spring Pastels

As winter starts to make it’s way out I can hardly wait for warmer spring weather. I tend to wear pastels all year round but especially in spring. I currently love the dusty light pink trend that has been going on ever since Pantone announced their colors of the year.

This neutral duster is a great color that will pair with so much. I personally love it with an all white outfit. Add this BCBG tank to a pair of white Acne Studios jeans and it creates a simple chic outfit.

Adding hints of pink throughout your outfit truly rounds it out. I love a pale pink heel spring and you’ll get so much use out of them throughout the spring and summer season. These round Chloé  sunglasses are truly something to lust over!

With bags it can go either way.  At this point some people may be thinking that it’s becoming a bit too much pink so if you feel that way add a neutral bag like this one from Felix Rey. Felix Rey co-founders Salaika Zarrouk and Lily Rafii, now Lily Band after marrying husband Doug Band, design their bags with flirty vintage vibes.  I personally love this pink Burberry tote and think it’s adorable for spring!

Thanks Adam for the post. You can follow him on Pinterest for more style and fashion inspirations!
