It’s time for my monthly favorites post. I have some new favorites, and one makeup product that I rediscovered and been loving all over again through out the month of March. I didn’t even realize this until I was picking out my favorites for the month, but I’ve been wearing a lot of high-end products. I definitely am a drugstore kind of gal, but sometimes it’s nice to switch it up and try out other products that are out there in the market. And because of this, I found a dupe to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz from the drugstore. More on that later as you read this post. Now, let’s just jump in to it!
I don’t usually like wearing powders all over my face, just because if you have dry skin like I do, powders tend to cling on to your dry patches and make them even more visible. I usually just apply powder only on areas that I put concealer and on my T-zone. But lately, I have been enjoying setting my whole face with powder. The MAC Studiofix powder is probably one of the best powders for my dry skin. I know it sounded crazy but somehow it just worked. When I apply this powder onto my face, I am super generous with the product and it looks great on the skin, especially when taking photos. Some would think that this powder is really thick, but I feel like it is comparable to the Loreal True Match Powder if you’re a fan of that one. This was my go to powder when I was a flight attendant, and I remember packing this powder on a lot so I won’t look greasy and stay matte all day. Haha! Good times…
This is one product that I wanted to try for so so long, and finally caved in and purchase this expensive beauty. This is a perfect bronzer if you’re into the “natural glow” look and don’t like bronzers that could make you look orange. You know what I mean? This bronzer looks good on fair to medium skin tones and works for bride-to-be as well. It’s not too orange or ashy which is perfect for an everyday look. Since I am not tan at all, this shade is perfect for that slight kiss of warmth on the face.
Ah, yes. A cult favorite. I love my Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer, but I wanted to try something new, and decided to give the NARS radiant creamy concealer ago. Many said it is comparable to the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, and I don’t think so. This concealer is a bit thicker and creamier in consistency and you need to set it with powder right away or else there will be a creasing party under your eyes. But other than that, it blends beautifully and the pigmentation is awesome! I’m definitely will be repurchasing this bad boy.
An oldie and still a goodie! I love this stuff to set my makeup. For the past few months I’ve been using MAC Fix +, but since I am almost out of that, I turned back to my ever so faithful makeup setting spray. I would like to try out Skindinavia makeup setting sprays too. Leave me in the comment section below if you’ve tried it and if it’s good. =)
I’ve been filling in my eyebrows since I was 20 years old, and from years of over plucking my eyebrows, the inner part of my brows are pretty bald. I do not like using a pencil to fill in the inner parts of my brows because it can look too harsh, and I’m not into the super bold eyebrows look either. I don’t know why I didn’t think about this sooner, that filling in my brows with a brow powder is so much more natural looking than using a brow pencil. This ABH duo brow powder does the job well and I love how my eyebrows look now. That being said….
If you like the ABH Brow Wiz, I think you’ll like this brow pencil too. It is very comparable to the brow wiz. It has the same pencil tip, similar brush, and it’s also as slim as the brow wiz. I only use brow pencil to fill in the tail of my brows and use ABH duo brow powder to fill the rest of my eyebrows in.
If you follow me on Instagram (you should! I leave the link here), I posted a few selfies of myself wearing MAC lip pencil in Soar. I’ve been obsessed with wearing this color ever since I got it. I also purchased the shade Whirl and I love how it looks, especially over a nude gloss. It just makes your puckers look fuller and plump.
I hope you enjoy reading my March beauty favorites. Have you tried any of these products out? Leave me in the comment below letting me know what other new makeup products I should try out, or if you want me to do a review of any of the products mentioned. Have a good weekend loves!XOXO ❤
