Eid Makeup Look: Bronzy Eyes and Pink Lips

Today is the last day of Ramadan, and that marks the end of the Muslim’s holy month. Although Muslims all around the world are sad to see this month go, but after a month of fasting and spiritual cleansing, tomorrow is the day to celebrate and feast with all our close friends and family. Eid is my favorite holiday since I was a little girl, because my Mom would cook a feast and bake different kinds of cookies and cakes for our friends and relatives when they come over to visit. And as a child, the only reason you love Eid is because you received green envelopes filled with money ($2, $5, $10, $20, $50 or more) from your elders. That was fun, until it’s your turn to be giving money to little munchkins instead. Haha! Every culture has different traditions for celebrating Eid. Muslims in the US and UK would exchange gifts with friends and relatives and Muslims in South East Asia would give money. Besides the feasts, we also get all dressed up in new clothes and shoes and start our day by going to the mosque to perform Eid prayers and celebrations after.

Speaking of which, I created this bronzy eye makeup look with pink lips for Eid. The sparkle on the lid is just perfect for the occasion, and this look could be paired with any lip color of your desire. Here are the products used:

  • Benefit Porefessional primer
  • Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation (shade 106)
  • Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (Medium) for redness around the nose
  • NYX HD Concealer (Beige) to highlight
  • Coty Airspun translucent powder to set concealer and bake under the eyes
  • MAC Give Me Sun bronzer
  • Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer to contour
  • Kat Von D Blush (Wish)
  • Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray

  • Urban Decay Primer Potion (original)
  • MUG Creme Brulee and  Peach Smoothie as transition shades
  • MUG Frappe on crease
  • MUG Cocoa Bear and Bitten to darken up the crease
  • Colourpop “On the Rocks” all over the lid
  • MUG Vanilla Bean on brow bone
  • Loreal Miss Manga Mascara and Loreal Volumious Carbon Black Mascara
  • Rimmel Liner (Nude) on the waterline
  • MUG Cocoa Bear, Bitten and Corrupt on lower lash line

  • Loreal Brow Stylist Definer (brunette)
  • Loreal Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel (medium to dark)

  • MAC Soar lip liner
  • Loreal Colour Riche La Lacque Lipcolor Stick in Coco-lacque

This year’s Eid is different for me because I’m spending it here in the US instead of being back in Singapore to celebrate it with my family and friends. I sure do miss my parents and my grandma very much! To all my Muslim friends, have a blessed and safe Eid Mubarak! Thanks for reading everyone!XOXO ❤
