Blue Floral and Beach Days

Happy Tuesday!

Last weekend, we were out of town to celebrate a friend’s wedding in Norfolk. It was such a beautiful wedding. It was an outdoor wedding over looking the ocean. The weather was perfect for the event and even though it was an evening summer wedding, the breeze from the ocean made it cool and even more magical. The decor and floral arrangements were beautiful and I love the color scheme that the bride chose. Now that I think about it, this was my first ever western wedding I’ve been to. Ha! Other than being a guest at the wedding, I was also the bride and bridesmaid’s makeup artist. I would show a photo of the bride’s makeup for you guys, but since I was so busy doing their makeup, I completely forgot to take pictures of their makeup. That’s one thing I regretted doing. Ergh! If you want to see it, I can recreate the makeup look I did for the bride here on my blog. =)

Anyway, now on to the outfit I wore to the wedding. I know months and months before the wedding that I wanted to wear a long dress, something that’s light and flowy which would work well for the summer weather. I was leaning towards a red dress, and I found a few I like online from websites like Lulus, Missguided and Asos. However, I was contemplating too much about the sizes from Missguided and Asos, so I ended up not buying my dress from there. So long story short, I decided to be matchy with the husband and since the Mr was wearing a powder blue shirt, I wanted to wear a blue dress and I found my gorgeous dress from Windsor. I love this dress! I got so many compliments wearing it, but the downside of this dress is that the chest part was too big for me (I got a size Small) that I had to tape it to avoid any wardrobe malfunction. Haha!

Since we were by Virginia Beach, we did stop by the beach for a little r&r and did the boardwalk. It was the perfect beach day weather and we had so much fun that day. We actually did the boardwalk again before we left. Virginia Beach is probably one of the places we would visit again! =)

  1. You can totally use the pics from the photographer’s site if you want to share pics of my makeup that day which I highly suggest because it was amazing! Something to be proud of! You’ll just have to mention the photographer company for copyright.
