I am back for another monthly favorites! This month has been one of the best months for me so far. Besides makeup and other beauty products that I will be sharing, I am also going to share a little bit of my experience as a makeup artist. I know right? We’ll get into that later on through out the post. But now, let’s just get started with the favorites, shall we?
I saw a makeup artist talked about this primer on Snapchat. She said this primer will make your makeup last all day under the summer heat, and of course I had to give this a try. This product was sold out for quite a while and I finally managed to get it when I randomly decided to go to Ulta one day. You’re probably thinking I am crazy for using a mattifying primer since I have really dry skin. But no, I am not! Because, I only apply this primer on my t-zone, and on areas where I have visible pores and that’s usually on the center of my face. I’ve really been enjoying using this primer and my makeup stays on all day. I’d say that this primer is a bit better than the Benefit Porefessional Primer, and this primer has 2.o fl.oz of product, where as the Benefit primer is only 0.75 fl.oz.
An oldie but a goodie!! I used to love this foundation so much, but for whatever reason, I chuck this foundation aside and totally forgot about it. This foundation is so light weight, and has a beautiful finish. It is perfect to wear for the summer time, and it gives you enough coverage to achieve that flawless look. Highly recommend this! I use the shade “I’m All the Rage Beige”
Another awesome stuff that I found in my makeup stash is this concealer by Maybelline. This concealer is super full coverage. I only use this on areas where I need a little bit more coverage, like the inner corners of the eyes, pimple scars and redness around the nose. A tiny bit goes a long way, because if you pile this on too much, it can get cakey. But other than that, it’s an amazing drugstore concealer. I use the shade “Medium”
And so it continues… Another concealer guys!! Haha! The reason I got this concealer is because of the word “serum” on it. Which means, it has a light consistency and would be perfect for under the eyes. I used this to highlight under my eyes and I love the dewy finish it gives after you blend this out. It’s amazing! If you have trouble with concealer creasing under your eyes, try this one.
I’ve been a little lazy lately about taking my makeup off before bed. Don’t get me wrong, I ALWAYS remove my makeup before I go to sleep no matter how tired I am, but ever since I started using a cleansing oil again, it’s like one of the easiest shortcut when it comes to removing makeup. I used cleansing oils before, but have not found one that I truly like. I decided to go cheap and try this one by the brand No7. This works so well and it removes my makeup in minutes, and it smells amazing! It does leave a bit of oily residue on your skin after you rinse your face, but I just use a baby wipe to wipe the residue off and go about doing my night time skincare routine.
This is my ride or die product right here! I haven’t had this for awhile and my skin is dreading it. Maybe it’s all in my head, but I feel like my skin gets better and better with every use. I think using a serum is most important, especially with my dry skin because serums targets and penetrates more deeply into the skin because of it’s consistency and concentration. You can find this at your local target, and it’s on the pricey side. This serum is always out of stock, so if you do find one, get a bottle (or two).
I’ve always love Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo. I was out of town earlier this month and forget to pack dry shampoo with me so I picked whatever they have at the drugstore. This original formula smells exactly the same as the other brand. I love that it makes your hair feels so fresh and it doesn’t leave a grimey texture unlike other dry shampoos.
Those are all my favorite beauty products of the month, but the one thing that made this month a special one was that I got to dabble first hand as a freelance makeup artist. A few posts back, I mentioned that I did a friend’s wedding makeup earlier during the month, and it was one of the best experience ever. Some of my friends and family members think that I should be a freelance makeup artist. Haha! Now, I don’t think that I’m that good with makeup. Like I know some things here and there, and am really good at doing my own makeup, but when my friend asked me to do her makeup for her wedding, she trusted me, and that’s a huge thing. It is her wedding makeup and every bride wants to look beautiful on their wedding day, and I am glad that everything went really well. We did a couple of trials and that did help me a little bit with what she like and not like. I also did the mother of the bride, one of the bridesmaids and the maid of honor’s makeup and they all loved it! It was definitely one of the best experience I had, and who knows, I might just decide to be a freelance makeup artist… if it’s meant to be! 😉

I hope you like my favorite picks of the month and thanks fore reading lovelies!XOXO ❤
